Respect Hoffman - period. He rides, he promotes, he builds bikes, he is BMX - and he's still going. Over the years I've bought and ridden many Hoffmans but this is my hands-down favorite for how solid and reliable it is. My main rider since completing it in 2012 and nothing has taken it's place yet...

2010 Hyper dR Pro Team
Most of my restorations are true revivals and I enjoy bringing bikes back from the dead. This bike was a fun project because I bought it brand new (for $99.00) just to see what it was like and also with intentions of making it look and ride better. I changed the color, made some custom decals and upgraded a few parts. It turned out better than I imagined and I don't think many would recognize it from where it originally came - yes, Walmart.
How it came new...

1999 GT Performer
Five years ago this month I lost my dad and miss him dearly. Because my dad always supported my love for BMX with bikes, ramps, clothing and taking me to the track, I wanted to build a bike in his memory. My dad's love was flying planes in the Air Force and he was a true leader and performer over his 30 year military career. I thought it only fitting to restore this 1999 GT Performer in his honor. The signatures you see are from his friends who served with him at the Academy in the late 50's.

1991 Haro Sport
In the 80's and 90's you could tell who made a frame from across the street. This '91 Haro is one of those unmistakeable frame styles that stands out among the rest of the competition. After I owned and sold a chrome one I immediately wanted another. It took about two years to find one again and I personalized the heck out of it with custom 990 brake mounts on the front and rear, custom mixed paint applied via airbrush, enough custom decals to cover four bikes and a laser engraved stem to top it all off.

1987 GT Performer
GT is one of my favorite old-school brands and when I spotted this for sale in Colorado Springs I had to have it. It was already powdered blue so I didn't have to change anything but parts. I did create these custom colored decals just to make it personal and mine. This is one of the best all-time freestylers there is.

The Great Hoffman Bike Build Up
Hoffman Bikes was started in late 1991 with the first Condor rolling out in the Summer of 1992. Mat, his friends and his company have made history these past twenty years. The 2012 product line includes the new old Condor replica that we've all seen here on BMXMuseum.com. Show your love for Hoffman's and build up a new ride or save an old one. Click here for more info.
